Orthopedic Surgery Expert Witnesses

Orthopedic surgery is the branch of medicine that surgically and nonsurgically treats conditions involving the musculoskeletal system, including, but not limited to, musculoskeletal trauma, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders. Following medical school, orthopedic surgeons spend 5 years in an orthopedic surgery residency training program. Many orthopedic surgeons enroll in fellowship programs after residency, where they train in such subspecialties as hand surgery; shoulder and elbow surgery; total joint reconstruction; pediatric orthopedics; foot and ankle surgery; spine surgery; musculoskeletal oncology; surgical sports medicine; and orthopedic trauma, among others. Many of our expert witnesses, speakers, and consultants are practicing, board-certified orthopedic surgeons and professors at schools of medicine whose areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, knee surgery, spine surgery, pediatric orthopedic surgery, shoulder surgery, clubfoot, hip dysplasia, scoliosis, kyphosis, rotator cuff tears, fractures, spondylosis, orthopedic implants, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, nerve compression syndromes of the hand and wrist, occupational injuries, and sports medicine. In addition, many of our experts are experienced in medical-legal consultation and expert case review and have testified on behalf of plaintiff and defense on such orthopedic surgery care issues as the standard of care, orthopedic products, personal injury cases, worker's compensation, and medical malpractice.
