I have 40 years of experience, and specialize in the field of composite materials with specific knowledge in the areas of design, performance and failure and manufacturing. I have published on such topics as carbon fiber composites, carbon nanocomposites and composite products and processes. I have testified on composite ladder failure, patent defense for composite manufacturing process and litigation over manufacturing facility lack of performance. I am a member of the National Academy of Engineering and the Royal Society of Engineering Sciences of Sweden. I served as president of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
