I have 20 years of experience, and specialize in the field of microeconomics with specific knowledge in the areas of infrastructure, trade and industrial policy in Africa. I have published on such topics as the behavioural economics of addiction, especially problem gambling, gambling regulatory policy to mitigate harm from problem gambling and the brain mechanisms of gambling disorders. I have testified on industrial policy for food product exporters, protection of domestic producers from international competition (with prejudice to interests of retailers) and excessive charges to retailers due to regulatory monopoly by a service provider. I am the author or editor of a dozen academic books and many published articles.
